(The travel plans mentioned below have been cancelled/postponed. Up-to-date information can be found on my home page. This COVID-19 pandemic has brought about greater change than anything I was attempting to do this year π. I hope and pray you and your families stay healthy and safe ππ».)
This new year is going to be a big one for me and my piano service and sales company!
After 18 years operating as Southcentral Piano, I am adding an additional name to my piano service company – Pianocare907. While I will retain my existing clients and continue to service pianos in Southcentral Alaska, I will be expanding operations in the Southeast and am moving my home-base to Juneau this summer. This will be a bit of a homecoming for me, I still consider Southeast Alaska home, as I was born in Haines and spent much of my childhood in Haines and Auke Bay (Juneau). The new company name will better reflect this new direction for my business.

But first, I will be venturing further abroad!
My daughter Sarah and I head to Hawaii this January. It will be a retreat of healing for me, as 2019 had been full of challenges, including the end of my 28-year marriage. The warm tropical environment is always so rejuvenating – looking forward to starting the New Year with a time of rest and reflection before setting off on a few new adventures.
In March, I will be traveling to Dublin and Copenhagen to see my younger daughter get married. Sarah has settled in Dublin with her Irish fiancΓ©, and the two are tying the knot in Copenhagen City Hall, March 21st. My clients know that I love to show off pictures of my daughters, son-in-law, and grandson – so you can look forward to some European travel and wedding photos soon.
When I return from Europe, and a quick business trip to Juneau, I will be preparing for another long-haul flight in the spring…this time to New Zealand! I will be volunteering for a couple months with a ministry on the South Island. This will be an exciting adventure for me, as I’ve dreamed about going to New Zealand since I was a child.
With all these big changes and trips planned for 2020, it was important to me to create a space where I could keep my clients updated on my schedule. I truly appreciate the loyalty of my clients, many of whom I’ve been serving for nearly two decades and have become good friends. I hope to assist you for many more years and will be using this blog as a way to keep my clients up-to-date with my travels, so that I can alert you when I will be in your area of Alaska and better plan servicing your piano.
Please follow along, and I look forward to seeing you in the New Year!
